Woodside Energy Employees Build Nearly 800 Educational Toy Kits for AVANCE Families

As part of Woodside Energy’s United Way Employee Campaign, employees came together across three separate volunteer events to make a meaningful impact on young children and families served by AVANCE-Houston.

A total of 106 volunteers, including 60 employees from the Gulf Department, 35 from the Human Resources Department, and 11 team members from Mergers & Acquisitions, dedicated their time and energy to building 798 educational toy kits designed to support early childhood development and strengthen parent-child engagement.

Throughout each volunteer experience, participants learned about AVANCE’s mission and the critical role that early learning and family support play in helping children thrive. Volunteers enthusiastically assembled toys that will serve as valuable learning tools in AVANCE homes, encouraging communication, interaction, and developmental growth between parents and their children.

The energy and dedication displayed by each Woodside Energy team was inspiring. Volunteers were highly engaged, asked thoughtful questions about AVANCE programs, and expressed a genuine desire to learn more about the families and communities served through our work.
