The Building Futures Spring Cohort gives new skills to high school youth

Ninety-nine South Early College High School students completed the AVANCE Building Futures program. This program provided these young adults with a safe space for personal and peer-to-peer relationship skills through interactive cohorts.

The program focuses on financial management, conflict resolution, dating violence awareness, job and career advancement, and relationship skills to improve personal education and the participant’s economic future.

The students attended the in-person workshops for seven weeks, completing a total of 14 hours of instruction. These workshops aim to enhance positive youth development, job preparedness, college readiness, financial planning, and team-building skills.
