Happy Teachers Appreciation Week!  On behalf of the board of directors, the chief leadership team, and myself, I would like to express how grateful we are for your continued dedication, commitment, and hard work.

This last year, the pandemic forced us to adjust the format of the way we perform our jobs.  Instead of teaching students in the classroom, you transitioned to online instruction –for many of you, this is your first time experiencing virtual instruction in your careers. We have asked more of you, and you have stepped up to the challenge—thank you!  You have gone above and beyond the call of duty to support our students and families during these challenging times, whether it has been by setting up video lessons, getting creative with your assignments, or even driving around town to hand-deliver resources to students and families.  You have done so much. Without your passion and dedication, AVANCE-Houston would not be where we are today.   You have helped our students and families stay engaged and continue to nurture their love for learning regardless of the circumstances.
