Congresswoman Garcia kicked off her visit with an inspiring discussion alongside the leadership of AVANCE-Houston, focusing on the vital importance of strong federal support for early childhood education. She passionately explored the challenges families encounter in accessing top-notch programs and emphasized the need for increased assistance to help every child thrive from day one. This engaging conversation offered her valuable insights into the remarkable benefits of the Head Start program in District 29, highlighting the potential for transformative change in our community.
