Cardinal Health volunteers helped prepare toy-making kits

Twenty-six enthusiastic Cardinal Health employees volunteered to learn more about our organization and, most importantly, lend a helping hand. Over the course of two days, these volunteers cut out different shapes and materials to aid in preparing individual toy-making kits for our Parent-Child Education Program (PCEP).

Parents from AVANCE’s PCEP program will utilize these kits to create toys as part of the nine-month (PCEP) curriculum. During PCEP’s creative toy-making session, parents construct toys for their children that will aid them as they “learn through play.”

PCEP is primarily subsidized through private donations, fundraising events, and our partnership with United Way.
We certainly thank Cardinal Health for donating their time and effort in creating these kits for each of our families.
