AVANCE-Houston children receive a new plush toy thanks to the partnership with Good+ Foundation

On Tuesday, Sept. 5, all AVANCE-Houston children left the centers with a smile wider than usual. The reason behind their happiness was a brand-new stuffed plush bear donated by the Good+ Foundation for each one of the students.

A total of 2,500 teddy bears were distributed to ALL AVANCE-Houston program participants.
Fathers and father figures from our Fatherhood Initiative volunteered their time to hand the stuffed animals to the young learners at dismissal time. A total of 2,500 more stuffed animals are waiting to be delivered to our warehouse to be distributed later in the year.

This is the third time we received a shipment like this from our good friends and partners the Good+ Foundation, a leading national nonprofit that dismantles multi-generational poverty.

We genuinely appreciate the Good+ Foundation. This fluffy donation made our children, their siblings, and their parents smile. In addition to their new toy, they received an activity guide to incorporate learning initiatives that involve the whole family to strengthen their shared time and create unforgettable memories.
