AMH Volunteers Help Prepare Learning Kits for the New Program Year

AVANCE-Houston visited AMH to engage a dedicated team of 15 volunteers in preparing educational materials for the upcoming PCEP program year, which begins in September.

During their two-hour volunteer project, the AMH team assembled 130 Hand Puppet kits and 90 Wall Picture kits, helping ensure families will have the resources needed to participate in hands-on learning activities throughout the year. These educational tools support creativity, communication, and meaningful parent-child interaction while reinforcing early childhood development concepts.

Thank You, AMH, for Your Service!

The AMH volunteers were highly engaged throughout the experience, asking thoughtful questions about AVANCE-Houston’s programs and taking time to learn how these activities benefit the families we serve. Their enthusiasm and willingness to work closely with our Toy-Making Instructors contributed to a productive and enjoyable volunteer experience.

By helping prepare these materials before classes begin, AMH volunteers are directly supporting the success of our upcoming program year and the hundreds of families who will participate in PCEP beginning this September.

We are grateful to AMH for their time, energy, and commitment to helping AVANCE-Houston empower families through education.
