AVANCE-Houston Board Chair, Saul Valentin Honored 2021 Comcast Hispanic Hero

We are so proud of our Chairman Saul Valentin for being named among the eight Hispanic Heroes honored by Comcast during Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from September 15 – October 15. Saul, born in Puerto Rico, is the Founding Principal of Collaborate Architects, a development, architecture, and project management firm. While keeping up with his daily responsibilities at the firm, Saul makes it a priority to volunteer and serve our community.

Throughout his career, Saul has served as a Board member of more than 15 organizations in Houston, all of which have in common the empowerment of families through civic engagement, preschool, and college education. He likes to pay it forward by serving others, due to his gratitude for those who invested in him at the beginning of his career and those who have impacted his life at a personal level.

Saul has served on the AVANCE-Houston Board for over four years, and his leadership and contributions are worthy of respect and admiration.

“Saul is deserving of this award. He is an active Board member and devotes much of his time to agency initiatives and events involving employees and the community.  He also provides guidance in various internal committees.  His pay-it-forward mindset is reflected in his commitment to the AVANCE mission”
– Luz Flores, Executive Director
