HEALTHY MARRIAGE

Healthy Marriage: Strong Families, Strong Communities

The Healthy Marriage: Strong Families, Strong Communities program provides married, engaged couples, and singles access to marriage education services. Through this instruction they are able to acquire the skills and knowledge necessary to form and sustain a healthy relationship for the well-being of the family.

Studies have demonstrated the benefits of a healthy family environment. The studies indicate that people may live longer and have less stress in families where both parents are present and share the responsibilities of the household and child rearing. They have also found that the children of strong family environments have their fundamental needs met, and are mentally and physically healthier.

The Healthy Marriage program helps families to achieve these outcomes through weekly interactive, educational, and fun workshops. Couples enhance the quality of their relationship and help their children succeed.
