“Composing Notes of Education”
AVANCE-Houston is thrilled to announce its 4th Annual Luncheon, with this year’s theme being “Composing Notes of Education.” The special event will take place Friday, April 7th, 2017 at the renowned Junior League at 11:30 a.m. The event will feature Houston ISD Superintendent, Richard A. Carranza, as the keynote speaker and special guest, Classical Violinist and Innovative Composer, Kai Kight, who will delight the audience with his music.
Every year nearly 200 community leaders and child advocates gather to continue making a difference in the lives of the hundreds of families AVANCE serves annually; allowing this significant fundraising event to develop a reputation of inspiring those who care about strengthening the family unit and communities across Houston.
The Annual Luncheon is an opportunity to raise awareness of education. The funds collected will allow the agency to continue offering its nationally recognized Parent-Child Education Program, and will be further used to award college scholarships for our GED graduates
AVANCE is proud to welcome Chevron once again as the presenting sponsor and is currently seeking additional sponsors at various levels. If you are interested in sponsoring the event, please contact Kristen Dohle, Program Support Research Manager, at KDohle@avancehouston.org
