About AVANCE

AVANCE(A-vahn-ceh), from the Spanish word “advance” or “progress,” has been serving the needs of the hardest-to-reach families, primarily Hispanic parents and children, since 1973. Founded in Texas, AVANCE works with poor and marginalized communities to promote better parenting, school readiness, literacy, health and personal development. In short, we help our participants move from historic cycles of poverty and illiteracy to a future of opportunity and economic prosperity.
