Carla Danbury

Carla has her Doctorate in Education from Texas A & M. Her work in Education ranged from teaching preschool children with disabilities to being the Coordinator of a Special Community Development Project for the University of Houston.  

She and her daughter were the only Mother/Daughter team at U of H Law School where she obtained her Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1994.  She litigated Discrimination Law in the Houston federal courts before moving to Livingston, Texas, where her practice included Family Law, Probate, and Contract Law. Upon retirement from law in 2007, she returned to Houston and started working for AVANCE-Houston that same year.
