Register today:

We offer 2 semesters per year:

First semester: September-December. Classes begins September 6^th 2011, and end on December 9^th 2011. Pre- registrations: August 12^th 2011

Second semester: January- May 2012, Classes begins: January 9^th 2012, Class end May 18^th 2012.
 

OBJECTIVE

AVANCE provides Adult Literacy Programs which involve a continuum of learning that enable individuall to achieve his or her goals, to develop his / her knowledge and potential, and to participate fully in the society.

CURRICULUM

The Adult education programs are supported by the TEA (Texas Education Agency) through its standardized curriculum.

SEMESTERS:

For ABE/GED, ESL and Computer Classes, we offer two semesters during the year. The first semester covers from September to December, and the second semester goes from January to May.

During the semester we have guest speakers who talk to the students about diverse topics, which include resources within the community, such as the First Time Home Buyers Program, Budgeting, and Financial Assistance for those participants interested in pursuing a college career.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS:

To register bring a Texas ID.

Registration is subject to classroom capacity.

CHILDCARE:

Due to limited space, child care services are available to our Head Start and Early Head Start parents only. AVANCE is working hard trying to expand childcare services in the near future.
