A SPECIAL FAREWELL
MESSAGE FROM MS. HAYDEN:
May 26, 2010
Greetings
As the school year comes to a close I have truly enjoyed this 2009-2010
school year. I almost hate for it to end. As it was our mission here at
Oakwood this year to go “ABOVE and BEYOND” I hope that we have done that
to meet the needs of each child and their family. I know that as the
children transition from Head Start to Kindergarten they will be as
successful in Kindergarten as they were here in Head Start. Also the
children that will be returning and going into our four year old
classrooms I know they will continue to be successful as well.
My challenge to you
as a parent is to be an “ADVOCATE” for you child. Know what’s going on
in your child’s education at all times. This is the most important time
of their development because their minds are so young. This school year
the staff here at Oakwood Head Start has worked extremely hard preparing
the children for this milestone in their development. I ask that you as
the parent continue to work with your child so that they may be as
successful when they reach the next developmental milestone.
As summer
approaches I want each of you to be safe and enjoy your summer. But
don’t forget your ABC’s and 123’s.
Warmly,
Tracy D. Hayden

Annual Head Start Parent Conference 2010

Dear parents:
My name is Tracy
D. Hayden I am the Center Administrator here at AVANCE
Oakwood
Head Start.
When I look into the eyes of each
one of your children I see GREATNESS! I see our next
future generation of doctors, lawyers, CEO’s, teachers,
mayors, presidents, policemen and firemen.
Our goal here at Oakwood
for this 2009-2010 school year is to go ABOVE and
BEYOND to meet the needs of our children and their
families. If my staff and I can meet the needs of each
child and their family then we know our goal has been
met. AVANCE mission states clearly AVANCE unlocks
America’s potential by building stronger children,
parents, families, and communities, so by going
ABOVE and BEYOND to meet the needs of each child and
their family that’s what we intend to do here at Oakwood
is UNLOCK AMERICA'S POTENTIAL!
I want to leave you with
this personal note from my staff and myself: My staff
and I know that we are a valuable asset to your child’s
education. We are all team players and will go ABOVE and
BEYOND to meet the needs of your children and their
families. We believe that your children are indeed our
future, and we intend to do all that is possible to
educate and inspire the children of today to be leaders
of tomorrow.
Welcome!
Tracy D. Hayden
