Head Start is a comprehensive child development and family support program for low-income families with children 3 to 5 years of age.

Head Start provides children with activities that help them grow mentally, socially, emotionally, and physically. The program includes educational, developmental, nutrition, and mental health services for children and supports education services to parents.
